Once you have enrolled, within one working day you’ll receive a welcome email containing your login details.

Study at your own pace. You’ll get up to six months access to Certificate courses and 12 to 18 months access with the larger courses (ie. Diplomas and Pathways), We give you a generous amount of time to complete your course, so you’ve got enough flexibility to work at your own pace and take study breaks if needed. You can also apply to extend your course if you need more time.

Absolutely! During your access period (see previous FAQ), you’ll have unlimited 24/7 access to your course material and be able to ask questions anytime via phone and email. Our tutors will respond during business hours and we aim to respond to all queries within one business day.

You can also connect with other students taking the course through the interactive discussion forums.

You’ve got a 10 day cancellation or trial period (beginning on the day your welcome email is sent out). Take the time to look through all your learning material and get a feel for online learning. If you want to chat to someone or have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Student Success Team at +64 9 887 4076. 

If you still decide the course isn’t for you within this trial period and you wish to cancel, please submit a cancellation request using the online form HERE.

After the trial period, you can apply to suspend or end your participation in your course in very limited circumstances if you experience a financial or other hardship – an unforeseen and extraordinary circumstance that significantly impacts your ability to continue with and/or pay for the course.  An example could include a severe and/or debilitating injury or illness to you or a close family member that you support.

Please submit a suspension or cancellation request using the online form HERE  10 days of the hardship event occurring. Approval of applications will be at the reasonable discretion of The Career Academy, and any applicable fees or refunds will be determined in accordance with the program’s refund policy.

Notification of your cancellation or suspension request will not be processed if submitted via phone, text or email. Cancellation forms submitted within this 10 day cancellation period will be entitled to a full money back guarantee! 

Assignments are open book and a combination of multi-choice, short answer questions and case studies. Once you’ve completed your assessment, simply upload it for marking. Tutors aim to grade your assessments within 3 to 5 working days of submission.

You’ll receive a certificate of achievement on successful completion of your course. The Career Academy courses are recognised by many industry bodies in  New Zealand and globally. 

None of our courses are NZQA approved. We focus entirely on Industry Accreditation and employer recognition to give you practical job skills that can be taken straight into the work place. We also offer personal interest courses for those who simply love to learn!

Many of our courses are accredited by ICOES, the International Council for Online Educational Standards, which guarantees you a high standard of content with measurable outcomes from an ethically run training organisation. The Career Academy New Zealand is also Internationally Approved and Registered by IARC. You will receive your certificate upon completion of your course.  If you are on a payment plan, you will receive your certificate once your final payment has been made.

The Career Academy’s team of experienced course developers and tutors include individuals with many years experience developing courses for leading tertiary institutions in New Zealand. Based on their experience, they have come up with appropriate levels for Career Academy courses.

Yes – simply select this upgrade option when you enrol, and we will send you printed course notes. You will still need to submit your assignments online via the Learning Platform. You can purchase course notes here.

Debit Success is The Career Academy’s nominated billing agency. They process our students course payments on our behalf.

Yes, you can change your payment schedule at any time. You have an option to change it to weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can do this by either contacting Debit Success directly or The Career Academy.

You can change the method of payment to a bank account or Credit/Debit Card, and you would be required to contact Debit Success to do this. If you have had your Credit or debit card replaced for any reason, you must notify Debit Success in the first instance, as this will affect your direct debit payments. Please note, all our Ireland/UK students can only use a Credit Card as a method of payment for direct debits

If your payment has not gone through successfully on the first attempt, this will automatically be debited together with your next direct debit payment. Please note, if your payments have been set up for monthly instalments, and a payment reverses, the payment will be reattempted 2 weeks later. You can also request to reschedule a payment directly with Debit Success (cannot be done the same day you have a debit due)

Yes, and yes! If you want to pay your full balance to settle in full, you can contact Debit Success to process this for you. If you want to increase the set amount you are paying, you will need to contact us directly to arrange this.

Students can contact us directly or they can contact Debit Success directly.

Students will only receive the certificate once all course fees + any associated costs have been paid in full.
