Graduating with my Diploma in Business Administration is something I'm incredibly proud of, and it was such a special day to celebrate. Studying with The Career Academy has given me greater confidence in my abilities and strengthened my business knowledge. "Good afternoon team,

I’m more than happy to share it, along with my successful story below,

First of all, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who worked both in front of the scenes and behind the scenes to make our graduation ceremony such a success. It was a truly wonderful and unforgettable day for me and my little family.

Eleven years ago, I came to this beautiful country and started building both my family and my career at the same time. Life was very challenging back then, and I could never have imagined how far we would come. Every struggle taught us valuable lessons, and we grew stronger by learning from our mistakes and making improvements along the way.

My major was Hospitality, and I also completed a Management qualification (Edexcel) in the UK in 2011. I travelled and worked in many places, gaining valuable experiences that helped shape who I am today.

Six years ago, I made the decision to change my career, as many members of my family work in the finance industry. When I joined Napier City Council three years ago as a Customer Services Officer, I saw many opportunities within the organisation for people who were willing to grow and develop. I expressed my interest in joining the Accounts Department and shared that I was studying towards a Diploma through Career Academy.

Looking back, enrolling with Career Academy was one of the best decisions I made during my career transition. I received excellent support from the tutors, who were always approachable and easy to communicate with.

I spent one year on secondment with the Finance team before moving into my current role as a Payroll Assistant. My studies strongly complemented the work I was doing, and it was rewarding to have my efforts recognised.

Two years ago, I was struggling with depression when I began my studies. Following the advice of my counsellor, I decided to start studying to help me focus on something positive and meaningful. It gave me purpose, confidence, and helped me move forward during a difficult time in my life.

I strongly believe that there is no age limit when it comes to education. You only have one life, and knowledge is something that no one can ever take away from you.

To everyone who is currently studying or thinking about starting their career journey with Career Academy, I wish you all the very best. You will have an unforgettable learning experience, gain valuable knowledge, and open doors to new opportunities.
