However, this ‘on the job’ training is not always recognised by employers, who tend to look primarily at formal qualifications. The Career Academy appreciates that repeating things you already know can be tedious and time consuming. Therefore, we’re happy to help you get a certificate or Diploma based on your work experience, knowledge and skills.

We offer a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to help you credit your hard won experience towards the modules of a qualification at The Career Academy. This will enable you to gain a certificate or Diploma, either in part or in full, based on our assessment of your work experience or prior courses completed.

RPL gives you the benefit of using your work experience and/or past qualifications to achieve an industry recognised qualification at a fraction of the cost, time and effort. You will need to supply a copy of your CV and any past qualifications to demonstrate your knowledge and skills when you apply.

How does RPL work?

1. Submit the required documentation (ie. CV, Qualifications, etc)
2. Our RPL assessors will review your documentation
3. You will receive feedback on what qualifications and experience you can use for recognition of prior learning purposes

If you have completed papers/modules with other tertiary institutions, you can also apply to have these cross-credited.
