Enquiries and Feedback
You will receive a complementary phone consultation with a course adviser when you request an information pack or submit an enquiry on our site. You will also be automatically added to our enews database if you make an enquiry with TCA. Please advise our administrator if you do not want to receive updates from TCA at : [email protected]
TCA really appreciates the feedback that you provide on completion of your course and uses this for course improvement and marketing purposes. Please let our administrator know if you would prefer that we did not use your feedback for marketing purposes: [email protected]
Making a complaint
If you feel we are not meeting your expectations for any reason. Please click here to make a complaint and management will get back to you within ten days.
Course Material
You will receive your welcome email and online login details to access your course content within one business days.
When does enrolment become official?
Enrolment becomes official once the student accepts our terms and condition and TCA releases the students Learning Platform log in details. Login Details are assumed to be received by the end of the day these have been released.
Privacy Statement
We collect personal information from you, including your:
- Name
- Contact information
- Billing or purchase information
We collect your personal information in order to enrol you in our courses.
Besides our staff, we share this information with our associated agencies as required to process student memberships and debt collection agencies should the need arise. We keep your information safe by storing it securely and only allowing appropriately trained staff and relevant government authorities to access it.

Application for Enrolment
If you are a domestic student (as defined in section 159 of the Education Act 1989), on acceptance by the Career Academy of your application for enrolment, a binding agreement shall arise between you and The Career Academy, which shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand. By placing an order on The Career Academy New Zealand website, you confirm that you are a domestic student. Generally, a domestic students is defined in section 159 of the Education Act 1989 as:
- A New Zealand Citizen
- The holder of a residence class visa granted under the Immigration Act 2009
- A person of a class or description of persons required by the Minister, by notice in the Gazette, to be treated as if they are not international students.
Students who are not classified as domestic students cannot enrol in TCA New Zealand as it is not a registered Private Training Establishment. We will refer you to one of TCA’s international counterparts for processing (such as The Career Academy Australia PTY Ltd).
Is The Career Academy a Registered Private Training Establishment?
No – The Career Academy is not a registered private training establishment for the purposes of the Education Act 1989. It does not have accreditation from NZQA to deliver approved programmes but instead has accreditation from a number of professional industry bodies such as the International Council for Online Educational Standards, etc.
Is The Career Academy Registered Internationally?
Yes – The Career Academy New Zealand is Internationally Approved and Registered by IARC.
Are your courses Internationally Accredited?
Many of our courses are accredited by ICOES, the International Council for Online Educational Standards, which guarantees you a high standard of content with measurable outcomes from an ethically run training organisation. The Career Academy New Zealand is also Internationally Approved and Registered by IARC.
Minimum Technical Requirements
Before you sign up to start your course you must ensure that you have reliable access to a computer or laptop which has internet connection and Microsoft Office. Without Microsoft Office you will not be able to open or submit your assignments.
Refund Policy – What happens if I want to cancel?
Students are deemed to be enrolled in a course when they have completed their student declaration and their welcome email has been sent out. Students are encouraged to read TCA Student Policy online to ensure that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities as a student with TCA. If a student fails to read their student policy in a satisfactory time or wishes to cancel before their student declaration has been signed their enrolment can be cancelled without any charge. Cancellations within 7 days of your log in email being sent out will be entitled to a full money back guarantee. Refunds will only be processed on the 20th of the month. If you cancel after this time, you will be liable to pay the full amount outstanding. Requests for course cancellations must be made by filling this online form.
