How online learning works
Your course will be delivered by our online learning platform. You can access our online learning platform from any web browser 24/7 so you can work whenever and wherever you want. You can also interact with your tutors and other students in the learning environment. Online learning allows you to make the best use of your time and puts all the resources you need at your fingertips. There are no set course start dates, you can start whenever you are ready.
Your tutors will check in on your progress and you do need to set up time to do your work. Most of The Career Academy courses are designed so that you do one module a week. But if life gets busy you can take longer, or if you have time you can do more than one module a week.
What if the course is not right for me? Can I cancel?
Your enrolment date starts on the date the course login email, also known as the welcome email, is sent. This email is used for the purposes of cancellations, deferrals, course extensions and refunds and will serve as your acceptance of The Career Academy Student Policy Terms and Conditions. Students are encouraged to read the Career Academy Student Policy online to ensure that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities as a student with the Academy. If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment they must submit a cancellation request using the online form HERE.
Notification of your cancellation request will not be processed if submitted via phone, text or email. Cancellation forms submitted within your 10 days cancellation period (beginning from your welcome email being sent out), will be entitled to a full money back guarantee!
Refunds will only be processed on the 20th of the month. Cancellation forms received outside of your cancellation period will be liable for full course fee’s.
If you are outside of the 10 days, a partial refund may be requested under exceptional circumstances that are out of a student’s control, for example serious illness or personal trauma. The student will need to confirm that these circumstances were not known at the time of enrolment, be ongoing in nature and will prevent a student from completing their course or meeting their existing financial obligations in the future. 3.2.5 Documentation confirming the exceptional circumstances may be required. The approval of a partial refund and the refund amount is at the reasonable discretion of TCA.
What to expect from assessments
Assignments are open book and a combination of multi-choice, short answer questions and case studies. Once you’ve completed your assessment, simply upload it for marking. Tutors aim to grade your assessments within 3 to 5 working days of submission.
Tutor Support
You’ll have unlimited 24/7 access to your course material and be able to ask questions anytime via phone and email. Our tutors will respond during business hours and we aim to respond to all queries within one business day. You can also connect with other students taking the course through the interactive discussion forums.
