Your enrolment date starts on the date the course login email, also known as the welcome email, is sent. This email is used for the purposes of cancellations, deferrals, course extensions and refunds and will serve as your acceptance of The Career Academy Student Policy Terms and Conditions. Students are encouraged to read the Career Academy Student Policy online to ensure that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities as a student with the Academy. If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment they must submit a cancellation request using the online form HERE.Â
Notification of your cancellation request will not be processed if submitted via phone, text or email. Cancellation forms submitted within your 7 days cancellation period (beginning from your welcome email being sent out), will be entitled to a full money back guarantee!
Refunds will only be processed on the 20th of the month. Cancellation forms received outside of your cancellation period will be liable for full course fee’s.
Enrolment becomes official once the student accepts our terms and condition and The Career Academy releases the students Learning Platform log in details. Login Details are assumed to be received by the end of the day these have been released.

You will receive a complementary phone consultation with a course adviser when you request an Information Pack. You will also be automatically added to our e-news database if you make an enquiry with The Career Academy. Please advise our administrator if you do not want to receive updates from The Career Academy : info@careeracademy.co.nz
The Career Academy really appreciates the feedback that you provide on completion of your course and uses this for course improvement and marketing purposes. If you feel we are not meeting your expectations for any reason. Please click here to make a complaint and management will get back to you within 10 days.
You will receive your welcome email and online login details to access your course content immediately.
Students have 6 months to complete their Certificate or 12 months to complete their Diploma and Pathway courses. However, the Administration Pathway, Accounting Pathway, Accounting Technician Pathway for Bookkeepers and Accounts Admin & Payroll Pathways are all 18 months.
We collect personal information from you, including your:

- Contact information
- Billing or purchase information
We collect your personal information in order to enrol you in our courses.
Besides our staff, we share this information with our associated agencies as required to process student memberships and debt collection agencies should the need arise. We keep your information safe by storing it securely and only allowing appropriately trained staff and relevant government authorities to access it.

If you are a domestic student (as defined in the Education Act of 2020), on acceptance by the Career Academy of your application for enrolment, a binding agreement shall arise between you and The Career Academy, which shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand. By placing an order on The Career Academy New Zealand website, you confirm that you are a domestic student. Generally, a domestic students is defined in the Education Act of 2020 as:
- A New Zealand Citizen
- The holder of a residence class visa granted under the Immigration Act 2009
- A person of a class or description of persons required by the Minister, by notice in the Gazette, to be treated as if they are not international students.
You can access section 10 of the Education and Training Act 2020 by accessing this link. Students who are not classified as domestic students cannot enrol in The Career Academy New Zealand as it is not a registered Private Training Establishment. We will refer you to one of The Career Academy’s international counterparts for processing (such as The Career Academy Australia PTY Ltd).
Before you sign up to start your course you must ensure that you have reliable access to a computer or laptop which has internet connection and Microsoft Office. Without Microsoft Office you will not be able to open or submit your assignments.
